Scripture:James 5:16-18

[16]Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.

[17]Elijah was as completely human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for the next three and a half years!

[18]Then he prayed again, this time that it would rain, and down it poured, and the grass turned green and the gardens began to grow again.

PRAYER ALWAYS RELEASES POWER

The nature of God in you as a saint makes you righteous.

It is by prayers that we become spiritually intense and physically more productive even in the most banal of human events. We educate with better insights as teachers, we become mathematically precise in balancing opposing material forces as engineers, we reach epignosis in harvesting the wonders of the human genome as geneticists. We birth witty inventions and meet the world with superior perspectives. True Christ honouring prayers make the mind nimble.

Oh how we need more prayer not less, nay rather we need more effective praying not that murky deep stream of shallow mundane entreaties that wouldn't move the muscle of omnipotence.

Show me a man broken and subdued in prayer who rises from the same shining brilliantly as though cloth in heaven's purest lights and i will show you a son of God who would bless the name of mankind and bring the nations to their knees.

Nothing builds a man's character as surely and as solidly as time spent alone with the father-the God of the spirit of all flesh! This is how we become partakers of his divine Character through Christ.

Until we pray no path in life is paved; until we pray there is no way to stay sane in a world battered with pain and sorrow.

Let us pray.

Holy Spirit build me up in the place of prayer in Jesus name.

I speak life into any dead situation that will advance divine agenda in your life in Jesus name.

I declare doors of favour opened for you today and beyond in Jesus name.

Grace to stay effectively in the place of prayer is released on you in Jesus name.
