Our Foundation

At the Lighthouse family, the word is our central focus and foundation. We consider the harvest of the word as our fulltime passion and the basis for every step we take.

 

The following are our founding scriptures as given by the Lord:

 

“You are the LIGHT of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp-stand, and it gives light to ALL who are in the HOUSE. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Universal church is a five dimensional structure: (Matt 22:37-40; 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47)

(1) Membership of the Kingdom    (2) Maturity of Saints        (3) Ministry of gifts    (4) Mission to the lost     (5) Magnify the Lord

 

The Core purpose of Lighthouse Family International is raising Kingdom Stars. (Matt 5:13-16)

To raise stars in the Kingdom whose light will draw multitudes into the kingdom and transform our society.

Our Core Values

Our Core values are drawn from the word LEAD.

L – Leadership: We believe the success or failure of any nation, venture, project, organization or people lies on the shoulders of leadership. Life thrives on leadership. We believe in leadership development as the answer to a solid spiritual life, a productive career and an effective society. (Matt. 5:14-16)

E – Excellence: We believe this is the hallmark of the Christian life. It is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good.  We are graced to shine the light imparted in us via redemption in our everyday life; this is our lifestyle, that of excellence. (Isa.60:1-3)

A- Accountability: This is the fact or condition of being accountable; taking responsibility for your actions and giving satisfactory reasons for what you do. (Matt 25:14-33)

D – Devotion: Love is the pivot of Christian character. Love is expressed through devotion. Devotion to God always results in love for men. Devotion breeds loyalty. (Psalm 63: 1-8; Luke 10: 30–37)

Our History

The lighthouse family vision was released during my quiet time on Monday, July 2, 2007 by 11:30pm at Flat 2 Juliana Estate Cele Nica off Badagry expressway, Lagos, Nigeria. It was inaugurated at first as a youth fellowship by my good friend Pst Femi Obadina (Home of Truth Ministries) on Sunday, July 8, 2007. However, it was commissioned as a church on Sunday, September 9, 2012 by Bishop David Abioye and his wife Pst (Mrs) Mary Abioye at Living Faith Church, Goshen City, Abuja. Subsequently her first Sunday morning service held a week later on Sunday, September 16, 2012 in the premises of Nissi Model International School Abuja.

Lighthouse Family moved to Lagos September 1, 2013.
